private calender from google-apps domain
Hi, I am trying to use a private Calender from a google-apps hosted domain. If I set the calender to public it is no problem to display it (app= parameter is not needed) but as soon as it is not set public (and I would prefer not to share all calender details via google-search) it does not show up. Could you give an example how to use a private calender from a google-app hosted calender thx - Martin C.
- i don't think you can embed non-public calendars anywhere - that comes with security as I understand. --Sergey Chernyshev 13:22, January 25, 2011 (MST)
- okay - if its not possible bad luck :/. Still i am wondering for what one needs the app parameter as it is possible to display a public calender from a apps-domain without and if there is any use for the pvttk parameter if it is not possible to embed non-public calenders? thx for your quick reply :)
- that's good point - It is supposed to work then... --Sergey Chernyshev 17:01, February 17, 2011 (MST)
Calender ID
Hello,
I figured out that the ID in the example widget code should be changed to @gmail.com instead of "@import.calendar.google.com". Please let me know if that's not the right way to use it. --Nimish
- I think if it works, it's fine - I just copied the URL from the calendar settings page. --Sergey Chernyshev 07:59, May 3, 2011 (MDT)
I found that if it is the first calendar of an account, it is blabla@gmail.com. For additional calendars it is something like 7634jkh87345jh456gfsd786@group.calendar.google.com. In both cases just copy the URL. --Clemens 12:10, October 30, 2011 (AST)
Google stopped private url
Take a look at Private HTML button not showing For some reasons, (NOT being security) google decided to stop the private url. As a solotion google proposes to make the calendar public in order to embed it somewhere else (!)
- For the time being you still can leave the calendar private. click the XML link, and take the pvttk setting from there. (the number between 'private-' and '/basic')

mmm, seems to work only when i am logged in my account on the same machine... perhaps they indeed stopped the HTML embedding function.... this makes the pvttk setting obsoltete imo...... --Clemens 13:31, October 30, 2011 (AST)
Indeed. see google's decision.
Especially point 2 of their reasoning. Cheap way of generating google users. google is starting to be evil.
So, it doesn't work anymore....
