Bug: As long as identi.ca isn't reachable, mediawiki page fails to load completely

First, thanks for this widget! Unfortunally if identi.ca is down and not reachable the mediawiki page fails to load completely. Only some small parts of the wiki page are shown. Don't know if this is avoidable with a code change. --Move 16:29, November 2, 2011 (AST)

It looks like they don't have asynchronous version at this point. I wish I had time to create one - after all, I'm a big fan of web performance, but I don't have time to learn StatusNet API and roll out my own widget, unfortunately. Hope someone can pick it up or ping StatusNet team to do so - I'll be happy to explain how this should be solved. --Sergey Chernyshev 23:58, November 2, 2011 (AST)
